Seeing things through rose-colored glasses: The neural processing of figurative and literal expressions for internal psychological states

This project (funded by the German Research Foundation) will start in 2017, in cooperation with Arne Nagels, Mainz. Central questions of the project are: How do people process figurative language verbalizing inner states? Which neural mechanisms are involved? How is such processing influenced by dysfunctions of affective or linguistic behavior?
